Let’s give a big hometown welcome (and maybe a fire extinguisher) to Brian Seyer, born and raised right here in Alma, Nebraska—and proud member of the elite “Three Brians in One Class” club. He's now gearing up for his hottest challenge yet: the Showing with the Stars fundraiser at the Harlan County Fair!
Brian’s been farming on the family farm and working alongside his brother-in-law Todd Christensen, proving daily that he's as comfortable around cattle as he is with a combine. He’s been married to Katie, an RN at Senior Life Solutions in Alma, for 10 wonderful (and project-packed) years. Together, they’re raising a crew of three: a college junior, a high school senior, and an incoming first grader—so yes, their house runs on coffee and chaos.
Brian’s no stranger to service: he’s been with the Alma Fire Department for 28 years, including 21 years as Fire Chief, and has also served as an EMT. He’s usually the one putting out fires... unless, of course, Katie starts them—and by fires, we mean house projects, endless "volun-told" tasks, and now, throwing him into a livestock arena with zero warning.
But true to form, Brian’s always game for a good cause, especially if it helps the community he’s proudly served for decades.
When he’s not suiting up for the fire hall, you can find Brian spending time with family, traveling to the beach, hitting up concerts, or trying to sneak in a round of golf before another “project” finds him.
