Tucker Spellman: Deputy, Dad, and DIY Guy
Tucker Spellman, Harlan County Deputy, proud new dad, and possibly the only contestant whose livestock experience involves helping his wife at the vet clinic.
Tucker grew up in Shelton, Nebraska, but he’s been part of the Harlan County lake life for as long as he can remember. He’s been a deputy for over 10 years, and he truly loves what he does: helping people and serving the community he cares about.
In 2019, he married Kaylyn, who works at the vet clinic in Alma (and probably has more show ring confidence than he does). In April, they welcomed their daughter Lindy into the world, and they’re already dreaming of her growing up experiencing the 4-H and fair life.
Tucker's hobbies include fishing, hunting, and woodworking or remodeling his house—which usually ends in a cut finger, bruised knuckle, or some colorful language. He also served six years in the Nebraska National Guard as a wheeled vehicle mechanic, so you know he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty.
As for showing an animal? Let’s just say this is uncharted territory, but he’s ready to give it a go for a great cause—and probably with a good sense of humor.
Come out and cheer on Tucker as he bravely enters the ring and maybe learns that goats don’t exactly follow traffic laws.
